“People in wheelchairs can do anything that they want to. Art makes people happy. Everybody does what they feel. When I am doing art, no matter what kind, I am happier because it lets me have an outlet for my emotions. When my dad saw the paintings I made, it made me happy because he found out I can do, showed him I can do more than I ever thought I could. Dealing with my disability is hard every day, but I’m happier around the friends that comfort me in knowing that I can do it. Without them I don’t know how I would get through the day – the daily task of having a disability. I can do many things. I have the strength to get through every day, the daily task of painting, even though my hands get tired I like to do as much as I can. I do not know what I am going to do next, but I love making art and being a hard worker shows that I can do anything I set my mind to do. I don’t believe in what I cannot do, I believe in what I can do. I love painting. It helps me conquer what adversities that let other people think that I can’t do. I try to do it every day.”
